What is Aidpage... People Helping People

in response to...

Make sure whatever type of notice you have has come from a court house and has a file number on it.   A letter from your landlord or notice only from the landlord is not an eviction. If it is not in the court system yet, you do have some time. Check your local laws and see what you find. Search for Landlord and Tennent information in your area through a search engine.  God Bless and Good Luck.

Need an item? Couch, Highchair, Books for you child?  This link is great. Post what you have to give, if anything, or post what you need. It is a Yahoo group for the Tallahassee, Big Bend Area so you will need to become a member, no dues, just send a note saying why you want to join.

You can get emails daily, weekly or as they are posted in the group.  It's called Freecycle Tallahassee.  These groups are all over the nation and I have personally received a gently used Tricycle, highchair and playpen in the past for my Grandkids. I have also been able to pass on items, like clothing, furniture and such that I no longer needed or my kids had grown out of. Often you will see larger items too like Washers and Dryers being offered. It's a great way to recycle and keep so much out of our landfills too!

This is the link to the Tallahassee Housing Aurthority. You can apply for public housing, find a list of landlords who accept Section 8 Vouchers and the addresses of the properties. They also have other programs such as a family reunification program for parents who have had problems where Children and Families have had to intervene to assist with housing the family upon reunification.  I have actually been on the list for public housing for a long time but one day my name will be on top. However, I don't think all the programs have such a long waiting list.  Additionally, if you have a property you wish to rent to Section 8 clients you can also find out how to comply and join.

This page is the Federal website with information similar to the one above which is local to Florida. Information is provided about Senior housing and help for Seniors who need there homes worked reparied. Also programs for Disabled people needing housing and many others Federal Programs; Homeownership, Foreclosure, Landlord and Renter Laws ect.

This is a link to Legal Services of North Florida.

Vocational Rehab has several programs for those who are disabled. This links you to the list of programs. My former husband was in desperate need of dental work and was able to get a referral to a dentist. He needed dentures and since he had to work with the public they were able to fund his dental work so he could stay in his position and be free of pain.

I'll be posting more as I continue to search my files.  Again, if I can answer any question or if a link is not working, please let me know.

About NorthFloridaHelpPage

I wanted to share some of the resources I have found in the past that may be of help to others.

I have needed help, my son, his wife and my Grandbabies have also needed help. Being disabled and at home all the time I have had the chance to research and find different options.

I've saved these pages, very often the various applications too. I'll be posting these on this on this page in hopes they could be of assistance to others in the North Florida area or beyond.

Seeking disability from Social Security? Read this article...!

I can relate to this article so much. I am living proof of what the system can do and not do. As of right now, I am awaiting yet another notice from Social Security for my Disability filing. I first filed in 2003 was denied, appealed and went before an Admin Law Judge and was denied again. I appealed this to the Fed Appeals council and was granted another hearing with the Admin Law Judge........So again I am waiting. I dare not expect as my expectations have caused me a great deal of grief in the past.

My parents built an apt on their home for me and my youngest son with all their nest egg money. We have lived here for 3 years now. My only help is from a monthly child support check of 375 for which I am so thankful and I do get food stamps of about 200. My medicine and doctors are paid for by Medicaid. All this help from the State is such a blessing.

However, if it were not for my family taking me in how  would I have made it?  When you live with medical problems and chronic pain it almost always leads to depression which was already in place before this part of my life...and I am no exception. My parents are now getting too old to help support me.

My Step dad is the bread winner and still works when he gets jobs. He is now 75. His work is hit and miss, so it is always feast or famine around here. Currenty he has had no work for several months and we are behind on the mortgage by 3 months plus all other bills are doubled or tripled.  How do people manage??  My situation is a piece of cake compared to others on this page.

I pray for God's will in my life but scared to death to be specific. I will pray for all of those on this page who need so much than I.  I was taught not to pray for myself unless it would help another and in my case the help would be a blessing to my parent and my child.

I'm glad I found this site. I think we all should send this link to every elected official in our respective States.

Since finding this page I decided to share all the information on help I have found in the past. These sites are listed on my "homepage"  on this site.  If just one person can pull through by using this information it would be well worth it.  It is all I have to give at the moment.

Peace and blessings to all.  Whitebird33

How Does Aidpage Work

in response to...

Hi Nanajoann,  Check out liveops.com.  I have a friend who has worked from home for them for a few years.

The only start up cost was the criminal back ground check which I think was about 12 dollars and a dedicated phone line only for the incoming calls.  I believe they are hiring in all States now.

You do need the right equipment, meaning a computer with x amount of memory etc.. a headset etc.. They have you take a voice recorded interview on the phone and you take a few test on line..you can study all you want.

Once you do all this you are ready to start receivng calls. You sign up for 30 minute shifts anytime day or night.  These operators take calls for various infomercials, calls and during Hurricane Katrina they helped people and families find each other.

The bottom line is it is for real. You don't make a great deal to start but when you get better and better you can add bonus money by asking the caller if they wish to add various items to their orders....It's not hard selling, remember the people are calling you about a product they are interested in.  I do hope this helps.  If you are an outgoing people person and have a good phone voice you will probably do just fine.

Blessings, Whitebird33
